I recently gave my wife a retirement party and invited over 40 people to the event@ Molto Bene in Ansonia.  I wanted to give her and everyone an evening they would never forget.  I looked for entertainment with a DJ and was a day away from signing the contract when I heard for the first time Rubber City .  Listening to the band was a WOW experience.  That was when I decided to have them play at my wife’s retirement party.  The party was a success mainly due to the entertainment provided by the band.  All the guests enjoyed the party and are still talking about it and the band today.  Now remember, this was a retirement party, not the typical younger crowd but middle age to seniors.  Everyone was dancing and remarked how good the band was doing.  If you like a lot of brass in your music as in the 1970’s Chicago “Saturday in the Park” and if you like the late 1960’s type of music like Aretha Franklin’s hit “Chain of Fools” then you’ll love Rubber City .  I can’t say enough about the entertainment this band can give.

Rubber City  is not only the coolest band in town but the one with the biggest heart! This very modest band has shared it's talents at no charge to support many causes in our area. Including, a cause/event that is close to my heart, the Sandy Hook Run for Families 5K. When I approached RCBB to request they volunteer and play all the way in Hartford last March they immediately answered yes.  The band brought so much excitement to the race and distracted the participants from the bitter temperatures. Those temps never stopped RC as they entertained a crowd of over 15,000 people. We hope the band will join us again for our 2014 race and I make a point to see them whenever they play around town. Thank you RCBB and love wins!

Rubber City is incredible! Besides being extremely talented musicians and fantastic performers, they are generous and dedicated to helping out a deserving cause. RCBB kindly agreed to play at "Get Down For Newtown, " a concert that benefitted the My Sandy Hook Family Fund. They rocked the theater, donating their time to help us raise thousands of dollars to assist the families impacted by the tragedy in Newtown.
