Chris Dabbo

Chris is a Connecticut-based pianist & piano instructor.
He received his B.M. from the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford, & his M.M. from the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, University of Memphis.
Although his studies had initially been rooted in classical technique & repertory, he began to draw influence from players such as Elton John, Billy Joel, & Bruce Hornsby during his teen years.
His interest in jazz and progressive rock musicians later inspired him to study the styles of Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, Jordan Rudess, Chick Corea, & many others.
He has sustained a professional career in music since age 16, by collaborating with a number of projects on stage & in the studio for over a decade.
Some of his recording & performance credits have been with the Southern Comfort Jazz Orchestra, Aaron Neville, Deana Martin, Empire, The Trio Collective, & Ghost Town Blues Band.
Chris teaches at Norwalk Community College, Naugatuck Valley Community College, & the Music Shop in Southington, CT.
Some of his current musical endeavors are with the bands Parkway Diner & Off The Grid. He is also the house pianist at Cavey’s in Manchester, CT.
